The sensory tasting is held at the Castillo Forestal in Santiago rather than at a winery: it starts at 7.30pm and is led by a sommelier guide. Three tastings paired with three appetisers, walking through how wine is made and how quality is judged.
The evening closes with a dinner including a main course, a glass of wine, dessert and tea or coffee. Tuesdays only, no entry for under-12s, and getting to the restaurant is not included.

Questions and answers
Do I need to know about wine?
No. The tasting is guided and explained from scratch. Many of the people who go don’t normally drink wine and enjoy the day just the same.
Which winery should I choose?
Concha y Toro is the best known and the most photogenic. Cousiño Macul is inside Santiago and works as a half day. Santa Rita has an Andean museum on the grounds, so it works even if you don’t drink. Boutique ones like 4 Almas run smaller groups.
How do I get back to Santiago after drinking?
Transport is ours, there and back, with a driver. You never get behind the wheel.
Can children come?
Yes, and they don’t pay for the tasting. Wineries with grounds, like Undurraga and Santa Rita, work well with kids.
Does the guide speak Portuguese?
Yes, from pickup to drop-off. Not a recording, not a translation app.
Can I pay in Brazilian reais?
Yes. We take Pix and cards, at the rate locked when you book. The balance can also be paid in pesos on the day.
What if I need to cancel?
Free cancellation and rescheduling up to 24 hours before departure.
